One hour orientation on ‘Hotel Waste Management’ at Hotel Yak and Yeti
Globally, hotel waste management has been a major concern in recent years because of its diversified waste production which tends to produce a hard time separating recyclable waste from their trash. For the utilization of those resources from the trash which would otherwise be ignored, recycling and reusing often plays a major role. So, to provide the right incentives to managers and staff regarding the overall management of waste of Hotel Yak and Yeti, Durbarmarg, Kathmandu, BW2V organized one-hour orientation program on ‘Hotel Waste Management’ on 6th September 2017. The program started with a soft opening at Library Hall 1 of Hotel Yak and Yeti with the arrival of 25 hotel staffs at 3 pm. The manager of BW2V, Mr. Ashish Khanal gave a short presentation on the Hotel Waste Management and the recent condition of the waste management in the context of Nepal. He also shared some information about the achievement and challenges of the waste management at Hotel Yak and Yeti giving it the solutions. The General Manager of Hotel Yak and Yeti gave the positive response, appreciating BW2V’s effort in the waste management of Hotel Yak and Yeti and committed for the needed help. For energizing the session, some of the luckily selected staffs were praised with a token of love from BW2V team. The CEO of BW2V, Mr. Nabin Bikash Maharjan concluded the program with his short remarkable speech giving answer to the questions from the participants.
