Participated in “Durbar Marg Clean-up Campaign”

BW2V had actively participated on Durbar Marg Cleaning Campaign organized in commemoration of 40th establishment day of Hotel Yak and Yeti. The main motive of the campaign was to make everyone aware and inspired concerning the waste management.
The cleaning campaign started from the premises of Hotel Yak and Yeti (YNY) at 6:30AM, with the involvement of around 80 participants including hotel’s senior staffs as well as representatives of Durbar Marg Development Board, Nepal Police Durbar Marg and Ward Officials.
The campaign started with the main theme of waste minimization and segregation at source which accomplished successfully. All the participants went for cleaning around Durbar Marg and collected dry and wet waste in separate bags, urging everyone to keep the surrounding clean. BW2V also showed an active involvement till the end of the program. BW2V collected the waste in systematic way and transported them to its waste collection unit. 
The program came to an end when senior officials put forward their remarks about the event. Senior Vice President of Hotel YNY, Mr. Dipak Malla, insisted on the issues of waste generation from the source, “If we could reduce the waste from the source we need not to have the system of collection and management.”Ms. Monika Petra Schieblauer, General Manager of Hotel YNY expressed the experience of the team work in cleaning the surrounding on the august moment of hotel’s anniversary day. Furthermore, Assist. HR Manager, Hotel YNY, Mr. Nitesh Pokhrel has tirelessly put efforts on organizing this campaign along with the security manager Mr. Laxman Giri. He appreciated the team including BW2V for the support, collection, processing and management of the garbage picked from the campaign in environment friendly manner.
