Separate Day separate Waste collection
Today is dry waste collection day here in Shankharapur, and seeing my neighbors and community actively practicing waste segregation at source this morning filled me with immense joy and optimism!
Proper solid waste management begins right at home. When we separate biodegradable (wet) and non-biodegradable (dry) waste, trash stops being just "garbage" and becomes a valuable resource. This simple habit opens the door to a true circular economy, turning everyday waste into opportunities for recycling and creative upcycling.
A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful residents of Sankhu and the hardworking waste collection team who show up week after week!
Let’s keep this inspiring momentum going and work together to make our municipality a clean, green, and exemplary model for all.
